SPRING BREAK

basket-of-flowers.pngUJH will be closed for Spring Break: March 24th to March 28th. School will resume on Monday, March 31st which will be a Compact Day Dismissal.

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE

Upland Junior High School supports the Upland Unified School District's focus: Every Single Student, Every Single Day! This focus means that your student should be at school every single day and on time. We realize that students are sometimes ill, and if they are, we want them to stay home. When making appointments, please try to make them after our 2:21 dismissal time. If you have to make an appointment during the day, please bring your student to school in the morning so they won't miss instruction. We are all a team and we want the best for the students at UJH. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the office.

WORDS OF WISDOM

Just For You......

Dream Your Future

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Our ancestors must certainly have had dreams different from our own. Perhaps they dreamed of simple things we take for granted, such as running water in the home or transportation faster than a horse and buggy. Some dreamed of coming to America to begin a better life. Many had dreams that are timeless — dreams of being safe and prosperous. Dreams propel humanity forward and our youngsters represent our future. We need them to embrace the beauty, potential, and power of their unique talents and creative longings. And when we help them dream a better life, we help them build a better future, not only for themselves, but for us all..

With something to think about . . .

VIRTUE OF THE MONTH

9240672-a-metal-toggle-switch-with-plate-reading-open-mind-and-closed-mind-flipped-into-the-open-minded-posi.jpgThe virtue of the month for March is: TOLERANCE.

TOLERANCE  is recognizing and accepting the differences and beliefs of others. Our symbol for TOLERANCE is: a toggle switch with an open and closed position because in order yo have tolerance you must have an open mind.
